Mary Elaine Shirah

Mary Elaine Shirah was raised in and out of foster care, shelters, and state homes. She has two siblings, an identical twin and an older brother. She earned a bachelor's degree from Troy University, education dual certification requirements from Valdosta State University, and attended the University of North Alabama for graduate studies. She has taught and coached in both private and public schools. She has two children and two grandchildren. Her love for writing resulted from an incredible imagination to escape adversities and hardships. "Uh Oh, Here Comes Oh No!" is her first children's book.
